The World Athletic Championships is an international Track & Field event for the world’s most elite athletes. Eugene, Oregon had the prestigious honor of hosting it in 2022. Usually reserved for some of the biggest cities in the world. Fate brought it home to the birthplace of running in the same year that Nike had it’s 50th Anniversary. These graphics were used at the event and celebrated the two most influential personas of the Track & Field world.

To celebrate this momentus event, I looked to Nike’s 70’s + 80’s vintage running and event graphics as an homage to Nike’s roots in that world.
